#fly2perth : Day 9, Last Day :(

[Travel in October/November 2015]

Last day of the trip usually planned with something easy and simple, and we tried to keep it this way too. We supposed to have our Whale watching today but because of the sea is a little rough, they had to cancel today schedule. So, we didn’t manage to get another time slot since we were returning the next day. Hence, we just proceed Hillary for some walks since we supposed to head over there for our ferry! πŸ™‚

  • during your trip in korea were you able to see stores selling dog and cat meats? or dogs being abused on the the streets?i hope u can find time to answer this cause really bothers me.

    • Hi Ivy!

During all my trips in Korea, I didnt see stores selling dog and cat meats. I guessed maybe they dont sell it so publicly or in the city anymore (?).

No abusing on the streets as well. Many people have dogs and cats as their pets and love to walk the pet with them. You can even visit pet cafes where they are pretty good in grooming too.

I visited some dogs or specific animal cafes, they looks happy roaming around their cafe area πŸ™‚

Hope this answer your questions too πŸ™‚

      • i am so glad to hear that, its just i have read in an article in facebook that koreans eat dog and cat meats and it really made me cry and angry i love dogs so much and it really hurts me when i see dogs being abused, being hit by vehicles and even worse being tortured and butchered, its just so cruel of these people to this ???

  • Hi Ivy!

I think in the olden days, many people ate animal to protect from the warm.
Its cruel and its really indeed a very sad news.

But, I think people these days are more animal friendly, and treat animals alot better than human πŸ˜‰
I was in Hongdae in August, and I saw a young man walking a tortoise in the garden, its so cute!

Definitely, there will be people still consuming it in the world, and lets hope it will stop soon.

    • yes i do believe that there are still people who consumes dog meat especially the chinese! i hate them for eating dogs.

I am so happy to hear that your trip in korea was fun and that a lot people are taking care of their pets, the fact is i am travelling in seoul by fall this year and it really worries me if will be able too see dog meats in the market or dogs being abused or being butchered i just cant stand to hear and see dogs cry for pain they are enduring, i just really hope that this dog eating meat will stop as well as dolphin meat since they are sweet creatures of God.

  • thank you so much for your inputs, and assuring me that i will have no problem about dog being abused in korea nor seeing stores selling dog meats, by the way did u bring an adaptor for charging your gadgets and mobile phones? does korea has the same electricity volts to other asian countries? and can u give advise if what outfits should i wear since its kinda cold during fall in korea is light coats and jackets will do?

    • I enjoyed Korea alot, and hopefully people who visited there will feel the same too. Definitely there’s good and bad side of each country but take it easy, everything gonna be good.

Oh, because I usually use two pin charger at home (singapore) and its the same as Korea 2 pin, so i didnt have much issue and there’s no need for me to bring universal adapter too.

I did bring extension wire because I have too much thing to charge etc – phone, camera, gopro and power bank hahaha! I am not sure about the electricity volt, but it seems ok for me πŸ™‚

Autumn is a little cold, but usually I check the weather 1 week ahead before I go just in case. I think coat + hoodie shld be fine πŸ™‚ The heatpack from artbox (in korea) is very good, very lastly. 1 pack only cost you 1USD and last entire day! πŸ™‚

I like to use accuweather app to check. For a few countries i visited they are pretty accurate! πŸ™‚

      • hello again oh that is a good idea bringing extension haha i hv to bring gadgets too, so i guess i have to bring an adaptor just on case because when i went to Hongkong i had to borrow an adaptor from the front desk coz they have a round pin on their outlets and when it comes to outfits based on what ive read on blogs they usually wear light coats or cardigans , is accuwather accurate?
by the way i am from philippines i also visited singapore and i loved the orchid garden? i really hope my trip in seoul would be smooth and safe i am just excited to see the autumn foliage?by the way is artbox shop is on seoul? i might not be able to buy it since we hv to go directly to our destinations in the morning and the only time i could go to shops is on my last day in korea since its a group tour i cant separate from them?

        • haha yes! I bring extension haha, so that i just need to get 1 travel adapter den get so many adapter for all my charger. haha. I tink is the best and must-bring things to holiday haha. I bring it everywhere! πŸ™‚

But, I not very sure about Philippines plug type, hence you might need to double check or just bring 1 adapter along just for your extension wire πŸ™‚ The rest you can just plug in yours easily! πŸ˜€

Accuweather quite accurate. And you can check it for more accuracy when you are there the morning before you leave the hotel πŸ™‚

I think it depends if you are able to get use to it. Because generally its alot colder than Philippines so it might takes 3 days before you get used to it πŸ™‚

Yes! Artbox in Seoul, there’s 1 in Myeongdong, 1 in Sinchon. Its quite a few around the countries πŸ™‚ If not, you get it before your trip in Philippines πŸ™‚
