Myeongdong is a street of skincare and fashion, where you will definitely visit whenever you head over to Korea. But, in between the shopping, I am very sure that your hungry stomach will growl and you need a meal. If its at night, street food is usually your number 1 choice, how about when its lunch time? The answer will be Myeongdong Kyoja! I love the place when Im visiting there in group of 3-4 persons, so I can get to order all 3 items from the menu.  And with no fear, the kalguksu’s noodles and rice are available for free refill! Omg! How I wish, the soup does come for free refill too, its too tasty with flavourful broth that you can’t stop tasting it. hehe.

Caffe Bene is a cafe house chain in Korea that have the largest number of stores. I visited Caffe Bene thrice out of my 6 trips to Seoul, and usually they were my last or 2nd last breakfast of my trip. Its always awesome to have a sweet meal before you leave. And this conclude a sweet holiday that you never wish that its going to end.

#the strawberry waffles was soon good. In fact, this set of myeongdong photos (above) were my first visit to caffe bene!

I thought that it could be one of the “brave-daring” thing you should ever tried when you visit Seoul! I don’t deny it wasn’t anywhere pleasant to try since its LIVE and living during the moment you consuming it. But since it’s a little culture from oversea, I guess you should give it a try? How about just one time?

The very first time was honeyeee whom bring to Hyehwa for Joanne’s and mine last day seoul trip! It was terrible enough not to know this little dish earlier ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Though we have our worries and scary that it might just wriggling in my throat or by chance stuck somewhere….. We still go ahead and give it a try! A nice try I admit

Since we were already at Hyehwa, we shouldn’t forget those street food selling in tent. Those you see on tv, drama just right in front of me. Kinda excited for this.

During my second trip to Seoul, we actually went on 3 meals for dinner on this day. Korean foods are just too sinful, and it’s a little sorry to your stomach if you never filled it with good food LOL!!!

I actually love the hot soup they provided, especially on this cold winter night! I actually refilled so much times that I had already lost count for it… 하하하하~~ And i love that….!!! the fish cake! :))

Honestly, a big group like us, a number of almost 10, definitely bring ahjuma some laughters. And, ahjuma definitely love us so much to give us more food! 하하하하~~

Remember, I did mention in the previous entry that, we are heading to ‘xxx’ agency? And, we walked alot and I mean really alot, maybe in hours in search for the agency. but, we totally get the direction wrong, and gave in to cab after hours.

And, it was actually quite difficult to collate all photos from everyone, you know 4 cameras and thousand of photos. LOL! Nevertheless, we enjoyed quite alot at 63 Building!

We headed back to 63 Building because we yet completed the 3 places we bought tickets to! Despite having quite a low mood after the queuing, I guessed we did have lots of fun during Wax Museum. haha! You will know why from our photos!

Oh, you should realise that we have taken the most photo in 4. every single image we have individual shot. It’s kind of scary because the amount of photos we had. HAHA! But here come the scary part. We saw this “WANTED” comic or something. And, we took every single picture with something else.. The expression, check this out. This is pretty funny, and guess who got the most NG? ME! LOL! The rest comment that I was not real and doing it in the right way, Oh my, I wish we are all back in the same place again. It’s just so fun, so real, and we forget everything in singapore (my work, singpost, everything!) More ease when I left my work totally for a trip of joy!

After that, we headed back to Hongdae, and have a quick rest, and meet the Stacey and Germx at Myeongdong for dinner and a quick shop/walk. We went random BBQ store near their guesthouse. Our first BBQ meal in Seoul. (typing this now, make me miss everything i left there, my heart and seoul!)

We had a fast shopping and we saw Chrystal. World is really small, when you can met people you knew in Singapore.

many friends who read my first entry like it, and most of them are worried about the place i stayed as well. I still stayed at hongdae on my 2nd night. It wasn’t very bad if you are someone who just want a place to sleep. For me, I need more secure, hence it wasn’t the best place.

// this gonna be a long entry due to explaining the story behind every music show. my personal experience is good enough to share , and get everyone prepared if they wish to do it too.

This entry is just simply too long. Hence, I decided to break it into 2. So, here is my part 1!  

Whoa! How’s the feeling of waking up in the morning, finding yourself right now in Korea! OMG! I’m getting excited what’s going to happen next to us right here in Korea!

Other than feeling happy and excited, definitely a little tired for having such little sleep, and now, we are leaving the guest house to – SBS 인기가요 (SBS Inkigayo). We both thought to give a good try for YoungSaeng’s Let It Go performance! I had also, contact Stacey and Germx who arrived few days earlier that we decided to go for Inkigayo and wondering if they wish to join us… apparently, they only wished to join us in the morning (because waking at 3am does sound scary! haha!). Both of us, managed to get on the cab, and the cab driver bring us to a place… a place far from Hongdae, and it’s WRONG! We can’t blamed the cab drive because, there’s actually 2 SBS building! We supposed to go to studio instead of the ‘office’ i believe Thanks to the security guard who helped us and informed another cab driver the right direction. He is soooooo nice and let us know the rough cost for the cab fare (just in case!).

As there’s more than 1 SBS building in Seoul, do let the cab driver know it’s the SBS Building located at Bal-san. If you are traveling by subway, please alight at Gayang Station (Line 9). It’s actually a very short distance away from SBS Building, probably 8 minutes away!

I have heard many people talking about the queuing system just to get into music show. And, these was my first time experience this, definitely this really not encouragable. But for the experience, I thought it was pretty cool just to give a try. After all, my trip was supposed to be a holiday, in any event, I’m able to get a chance to meet up with my favorite idols, I will go for it And of cos, provided I won’t missed out from my actual itinerary. My trip was supposed to enjoy and see everything about Korea, not chasing after idol (which eventually, when we free… and this did happened :P)

When we reached the ‘correct’ SBS building, we saw countless of fans sitting in front of the main gate/door. And, I think I stupidly asked Beast’s fan if this queue were for Heo Young Saeng. Since Beast was having their comeback, the amount of fans they had is totally madness, it ‘too much’. I believed all the fans were well-prepared, they covered themselves with cartoon bedroom blanket that made them so cute, and us jealous because… we were freezing away with ‘smoke’ coming out from our mouth!

Soon, we found ‘Heo Young Saeng’ label, which eventually with help of the 2 korean fans, we got to call the ‘in-charge’ and got our number (it was like 40+ or 50+). And, the next reporting time was 7am, with just only 3 hours, we decided to stay put, and not leaving here. This might be a crazy move, because it’s like 10-12degree (or even colder) with just 1 jacket with us. COLD BRRR~ I would probably love korea so much as their wifi is simply everywhere, even outside SBS building. With their wonderful wifi ‘power’, I managed to contact Stacey and Germx. Phew! ^^

As there’s some certain rules and regulations to enter the music show. It doesn’t mean that it was the same for all singers. There’s some that you can enter just by the Korean version album. But, for HYS, this is something a little different. We have to prove that we are HYS’s fan, which mean, we need to prove that we are actually fan/member from his official portal. (It is free to be a member of HYS’s fan club) Next, we have to show that we gave various support to his album. There’s 2 ways where you can help to boast their albums sales, and winning during music show (e.g. SBS Inkigayo). They are either by streaming their songs via Soribada (e.g.), or buying physical albums (only Korean version from certain shop). Hence, you need to get it printed out for all the ‘proof/evidence’. This ensure you the opportunity to get into the music show. Yes! you heard it right, it is not A GUARANTEE of you getting inside. (You only know how many tickets they are giving out to each fan club only before the live show starts, probably around 2-3odd).

There 2 different ‘segment’ for music show, Pre-recorded and Live show. What’s the difference, you might asked?

For Pre-record show, ONLY their dedicated fans will goes in, and for this, a bigger group probably within 100 fans will get to experience this wonderful close-up time with their idol? So, for Pre-recorded show, the idol will sing a few times (maybe 4-5) and the best one will be chosen to air during live show. If your idol are cute enough, will probably give you fan service by smiling or waving to you. Some might even talk to the fans too~ (So, this depend as well… haha!) For Pre-recorded show, it depend, it might start filming from 10am onwards.

And, now for Live Show, usually, they will picked the first few (20 or more if they allowed) for the Live show. For this Live Show, you get to see not only your idol, and also other group who was doing their promotion — you may called them your idol’s competitor! haha.

What happen if your idol is doing the pre-recorded show, and if you went for live show, will you see him or what are you going to do when you are there for live show, and he/she/they might have pre-recorded earlier in the morning? No worries, while SBS are playing the pre-recorded show during their live, the idol will come out and perform for maybe half a song, and giving fan service before leaving the stage for next idol’s stage preparation. Now you know the timing is indeed very important, not even a second can be waste. So, you will still get to see him/her/they on stage despite of their pre-recorded show

The 2 very nice korean fans (believe they are SS501’s fan) that I mentioned previously, helped us really a lot and guided us through-out for this ‘prove/evidence’. I can’t remember the 2 little nice korean girls name, but thank you for helping us despite what had happened in the end (you will read more about it later).

By 7 plus, the ‘in-charge’ (whom we called previously to get our number tag) reached, and start calling names…. (those who does not report on time will get their name ‘strike-off’ and if they wish to ‘queue’ again, their name will be after everyone, this was quite a fair treatment for everyone, but i do hope, they will extend like 15mins).

And, I am actually a little worried as I can’t contact Stacey & Germ at that point of time, but glad that they arrived shortly, and have their names on. (And, Stacey worn so nice!) . We get to know the next ‘time-check’ is about 10:30am (i cant really remember it’s more than a month ago). So, we actually have quite a long time, and we decided to walk around the area, and in the end, eating at their convenience store (7-11) i believe It’s a quite difference experience eating inside their store… (it’s feel so Taiwanese and Hong Kong style, like those you watched in drama!)

And, we headed back for the next time checked, it’s still very cold, and 4 of us are freezing away! I think, if you are to come again, get prepare with umbrella (if it’s rain/shine) or coat (during winter period). Always get prepared and you will probably enjoyed more even you are just waiting ;D

As the next time checked will be quite a few hours away, and personally feel that we should not waste our time away. All agreed, and we decided to head to the nearest tourist spot – Han (Gang) River and 63 Building. You know, Han River, the place that WE WOULD love to visit so badly! From Gayang station to Yeouido station doesn’t take too long. It’s probably just 20minutes away.

We were so glad to see SUN shining brightly as we are seriously freezing away for hours. Taking non-stop photos, have a rest along the river, imagine lots of nonsense, it’s pretty fun to experience every single thing in Korea. It’s just simply so different. I wouldn’t want to sit beside Singapore River in the morning? (That’s why everyone say that, the grass are always greener at the other side! LOL).

And, we headed to 63 (City) building! We bought a Package A ticket that gave us entrance to 63 Sea World (Aquarium that you will probably be familiar with if you watch City Hunter), Wax Museum and Observation Deck.

We headed back to SBS (gayang) happily…

and, in fact, it was going to be our nightmare (a little too early though). And, even at this moment around 1pm (live show is around 3pm), no one are sure of how many tickets will be given, leaving us in a state whereby, shall we lor shouldn’t we leave? At a later time (it’s too long ago to remember the time lol), B2M staff started to check everyone ‘evidence’ and in fact we had problem that our ‘streaming’ print out had the 2 korean girls ID instead. They doubted us for showing something probably not from us, hence, we got it clear-up (MY MP3 is playing HEO YOUNGSAENG’s Let it go right now) because the young fans helped us. And, just when we thought that we were just all ready to get in (it’s live show you know!) They stopped us again and these time, is helpless. They commented that we did not have the proof of being a member of the official KOB board. Despite how much we explained that we are (always are), just that the way foreigners and local have different way of signing up. (blablabla) And, we actually got very upset about queuing/wasting (lucky we went 63 building) since 4am! It’s quite upsetting that especially you can get to see Youngsaeng’s Let It Go live stage, Beast’s Fiction Comeback Stage, CN Blue’s Love Girl Goodbye Stage. It’s was quite a pity especially, we go through quite a lot to get everything ready… Anyway, we didn’t get in at all, and in short, just get prepared this thing happened too. You can always tried again the next week.

We left SBS inkigayo though we wished there’s 4 tickets dropped and we managed to get in. I want to really thanks the 2 girls who helped us, and fellow HYS’s fans who actually told the B2M staff to allow us in since we traveled all the way (oversea fans). Thank you so much, I actually felt better that seeing fellow fans helping each other, and not being selfish. Thank you! SS501/HYS’s fans are simply just so nice Despite whatever happened, it’s an experience and we really appreciated help from everyone. Thank you.

This morning, Daddy fetched me to Airport (I almost typed Korea LOL). And, Joanne the little maknae had already sitting there! I pull my pretty red hot luggage with my piro piro neck rest that suppose to accompany me for 6 hours on flight. And, our lovely Mrs Park & Mrs Heo was already (since yesterday) there sending us off~ And, next having BK breakfast together with the lovely MRS SS501. LOL! And, just before that we checked in with about 17KG luggage each…..! How much stuff did we actually bought from Singapore to Korea?

Soon, we found ourselves waving goodbye to both of them, and wondering around DFS, and can’t imagine that we have already on our way there. It’s like really like a dream, till now, I can’t believed it happened. You know, IT HAPPENED! OMG!

It’s my first time taking Cathay, and it wasn’t as bad as other Airline, though I really prefer SQ so much. As I wanted to keep my budget low, we took Cathay and transit over at Hong Kong! And, we actually saved at least $300! (and spent it elsewhere LOL) So, shortly, off our phone, and next moment, we are already on our way to Hong Kong!

Food Served, wasn’t that amazing and soon 3hours later, we landed in Hong Kong! It’s seems like we are actually traveling here! With roughly 2 hours of transit, we went to shop DFS walking around aimlessly. The last time, I was here at this airport was more than 10years ago! Branded store definitely deserved a visit~ lol~ Well, DFS Tiffany and Co are just simply pretty!

And we went to have a drink and sandwiches~ Lucky I bought SGD along! And just simple food it cost us SGD25! And i have return of SGD25 worth of HKD! I want to go Disneyland

2 hours wasn’t exactly that long, we found ourselves boarding another plane, and this time, it is to Korea – Incheon. And, I think both of us are pretty excited and obviously can’t wait for anymore. In just another short 3 hours, we will reached our destination! The plane wasn’t full but it was pretty “pack” with Koreans. ME LIKE! I love the feeling mixing with Koreans, and be part of them

And, soon we were offered dinner… this time was good! And, one thing is that, those Koreans who board the same plane, did not want any meal! What a waste, this time, the food is good And just about 45mins before landed, the Korean girls who sat near us… was putting makeup, and tying their hairs! Whoa, these indeed different! Koreans really have good complexion and their make up is light and natural~ Jealous!

And we reached!!!!

Leaving the plane was never THIS HAPPY…. we rushed down and got our luggage.

And in no time, we were heading out buying our bus tickets! HAHA! It’s indeed a fast speed as we are going to depart in another 15mins. We rushed to SK Telecom, and got our phone rental! Then, we rushed for the bus. Soon, we found ourselves leaving Incheon Airport… Hello Seoul!

#Feeling excited!

As there’s some problem when we first emailed and ask for rooms availability over STV. Hence, in the end, we managed to find rooms at Hongdae – Sakurabo. We have no idea how’s the rooms look, and a little worried as well. Cherry, the owner of Sakurabo, fetched us at Hongdae station. We dragged our luggage from Hongdae station all the way to Sakurabo. I was so thankful that the girls got me a 4-wheel luggage! I can’t imagine, if I brought one that is only 2-wheel. It was such a LONG WALK from the station, and it’s quiet and dark. It wasn’t what we thought… And, when we reached our HOME for 25 days… we got shocked again, this is indeed no joke! As, we didn’t actually thought we will stayed for 25days after looking at the condition of the house. And, we just din want to pay FULL SUM… and, we insist only paying for 7 days. (I really think, lucky we insist and paid only 7 days!).

I don’t even have much photos of the guesthouse. Oh my! We explained to Cherry that, we have to wait for our friend to arrive the coming Thursday to pay her the full sum because we do not have enough cash. And, it will be good, and let’s bb unnie and alice to see the condition of the house, before we decide what to do next.

We have so much question on how clean the guest house was, and were all the utensils safe to use? We din even dare wash our clothes using their washing machine. Really, we are THIS unsure of their cleanliness. There’s no aircon (though the weather is very cold, but summer soon leh!) in the room, nor there is any heater as well. So how? Even, the room wasn’t very well-clean, though Cherry had already said she cleaned in the morning (or?) So much so much complains, and also, I believed both Joanne and me got a real shock of our life! Seriously! OMG!

And, hopefully we did not need to think that much… We headed out…….! It’s quiet, very quiet……! And we headed out to DongDaeMun (DDM) for a late night experience of how SEOUL is like! ^^ We decided not to go for a shopping, and headed for our dinner-supper.

DDM was so happening at night. It’s look as if the next day wasn’t a working day and everyone seems to be out of home, shopping or drinking! Seems like Koreans really work hard, play hard. Something I thought, Singaporeans should learn from them. We just worked TOO HARD and forget what is play sometimes…

I feel a little sorry for Joanne, because, I told her to go back earlier, because, we did not know the situation of our surrounding after 12. I am a person who feel really insecure sometimes… And, our place need quite a long walk, and there wasn’t much shops/lights as well~ And, we ended our first night THIS EARLY >.<

(While sleeping, I actually woke up a few time because, there’s really LOUD shouting and stuff. Which eventually, worries me a lot. Sengkang is really not this loud, and pretty safe in a way. I will sleep without any shouting or screaming outside of my windows~ So, it seems like in any point of time, they can just jumped into our room, and carried on to their fight! haha!!!)
