It’s the rainy season right now, which feels really strange to me. The weather has been all over the place—unlike my previous trips in March when it was perfectly fine. Back then, it was cool, pleasant, and sunny every day, perfect for all kinds of activities in Jeju. (And yes, it was still raining while I was taking all these photos!)

As always, Jeju has so many Instagram-worthy cafés! Since we’re leaving today, we just picked one near the airport for convenience. This visit turned out to be a pretty good choice for us!

After our adventure at Udo Island, we’re now back on the main island. With a bit of time to spare before heading to BHC for dinner, we decided to visit the Canola Field I last saw in 2013—wow, 11 years ago! To my surprise, it’s no longer a field anymore. So sad!

BHC in Korea was so much better than the one in Singapore! Honestly, the Myeongdong outlet has an insanely long queue—easily a 2-hour wait just for a seat, plus more time for the food. But in Jeju, it was much easier compared to Seoul itself.

The final ride back to the ferry terminal marked the end of the trip. The entire experience, including time for meals and photos, takes around 6 hours. I highly recommend setting aside a full day for the Udo Island adventure. I also stopped by a lovely café on the island.

After lunch, we met up with Shumin and ZM to continue our ice cream adventure! Next up was peanut ice cream. This time, we tried one in the same area. Let’s see how it compares!

In Jeju, seafood is a must! After debating which place to try from my list, I finally decided on this one—it’s said to be the most famous and frequently visited spot on Udo Island.

First of all, this is really a popular place, so do make reservation on the spot (scan through catchtable) first.

I think I waited around 30 minutes, which is totally fine considering I’ve waited much longer at other restaurants in Seoul haha.

We only tried one dish, so I can’t say for sure how the other options taste. However, I thought it was quite good, and judging by the constant line, it seems to be a popular spot to eat on Udo Island. They also serve peanut makgeolli!

HELLOSIHUI’S TIPS: 
In many places across Korea, long queues are common when dining out. It’s no longer a situation where a 30-minute wait guarantees a seat—some restaurants even stop accepting new customers because they’re so packed. That’s why it’s handy to have an app (catchtable) where you can scan a QR code and check your spot in line. This way, you can spend your waiting time walking around or shopping, instead of just sitting in the heat or cold.

After renting the adorable little car, you’re all set for an adventure at Udo Island! I’ve actually been here before and hired a driver to explore the island, which was super fun. But honestly, I didn’t realize that driving yourself would be even more exciting, haha!

If you have an extra day in Jeju, I definitely recommend trying it out—it’s totally worth the fun!

This is my second visit to Udo Island, and I thought it would be helpful to share some insights to make your trip smoother and more enjoyable.

I didn’t take many photos because we were running late and had to catch the next ferry in about five minutes. The main reason for our delay was due to some issues with the GPS map. Make sure to enter “Seongsan Pohang Passenger Terminal” into your GPS (we initially arrived at the cargo terminal, so it took us a while to find the passenger terminal).

Please remember that you must fill out a form before purchasing the ticket. This is mandatory, so take note of it! The form includes a section where you indicate if you are arriving by car (we will be arriving without a car this time).

We board on the ferry successfully. This time, we parked our car at the ferry terminal, and board as passengers only

Saying goodbye to Sunrise Peak

You also can choose to drive your car to the ferry, and drive around the city. The last time I am here, I actually hire a driver, and we paid for the car fee to be on the ferry to stay around the island!

It’s a pretty fast ride!

This is where we rented our little car! Just a heads up—although many people have said that having an international car license is enough, we encountered several issues. They informed us that what’s actually required is a motorcycle license. Thankfully, we found a rental owner who accepted an international car license. So, definitely check this place out!

There are plenty of food options here, but keep in mind that you’ll need at least 6 hours on this island. We arrived early, around 9am, and left by 3:30pm. I’d love to return, so make sure to add an extra day to your Jeju Island itinerary to explore this charming little island nearby!

It’s definitely an Instagram-worthy spot, especially when you’re sitting there sipping on some refreshing orange tea.

Every corner of this place is so Instagram-worthy. I wish I could have a café like this too—or maybe even live in Jeju and spend my days visiting charming cafés like this one.

Their menu is simple, but if you’re looking for more photo opportunities, you might want to consider their package. Since we arrived a bit late, we just grabbed some drinks and took photos around the café!

In Korea, every café takes great pride in its décor, creating a super cozy atmosphere that practically invites you to snap thousands of photos.

This café in the Woljeong-ri area is quite famous. I have to say, the interior is really spacious, making it perfect for larger groups! I’ve been to this beach before, but it’s nice to have a short break here in between.
