Continue from the last post… When the tide get lower after nearly 1 hour, I think we are all ready to walk over and check out the stone path 🙂

Lighthouse Island (Deungdaeseom)

In order to be at lighthouse island, you really have to wait for the low tide to walk over. This is the link to the low tide timing, which you can check daily. Of cos, you have to set a little buffer just in case of any unforeseen circumstance 🙂

Oh remember good comfortable shoes!
Check out the map, we will hike over, and wait for the low tide (you must be wondering?) and cross the stone path to the lighthouse! 🙂
There’s this very nice korean who share how we shld walk, and through out the hike, he had been really helpful to us, and many others!
Remind us, guide us – I have shared before and I really think Koreans really nice!

I know it’s not very obvious, but there’s a stone path there, but because of the high tide, you can’t see a full stone path 🙂

There’s another korean whom so nice, that told us that we had to wait for another 1 hours for the tide to go lower. If our ferry is at 12, we will not able to make it, and it’s time to head back to the ferry terminal. Many of them headed back, but we proceed! 🙂 YAY!

I am breaking this Day 2 post into a few entries because the content is too heavy, too much photos and it will caused the loading to be real slow 🙁 First on the ferry details!

Every trip with Cin is a exploring Korea trip together. This time, we heading a little longer, a little further, a little interesting. We are going to Tongyeong! Upcoming postings will on my 5D4N trip to Tongyeong & Geoje.

Today, I will be sharing this post on our Day 2 in Tongyeong! We will be heading to Maemul Island (매물도). There will be an interesting hike (소매물도), waiting for low tide and visiting lighthouse (Deungdaeseom) too.

Pplease take note because there’s 2 ferry terminal.
매물도 Counter! (the last one)
You can tell them you wanted to go to 소매물도 (Somaemuldo)
We reached earlier because we wanted to take their very first ferry over – which is 650am that day.

The lady at the counter keep asking us to take the 12noon ferry back but we insist at 4pm ferry. I do understand that, because there’s nothing much there because we could have enough time to hike over and back in time for the ferry. But we are unsure about the tide timing (just in case) so we decided to go back later! 🙂 And, we did the right choice to do so! Yeah!

It’s really early that morning, I can’t remember what time we woke up to reach the ferry terminal at 6am. But, what welcome us, is more than amazing 🙂

Beautiful, this is always the reason why am I back to Korea again and again!
Took an indoor seat because it’s too cold outside after awhile.
I think the journey takes slightly more than an hour. (can’t remember :p)

Specially thanks to Cin for doing lots of research for this Somaemuldo hiking trip 🙂 Through out this research, we do realise we couldn’t find out much information even the internet world is so big! Maybe most of the information are in korean and we have no idea what is about. In order to be very sure, we did this trip and I tried to remember as much as possible (its almost 2 months ago since the trip haha) and wrote I wrote it here as easy for anyone who wanted to visit this island!
