Song Chon Strawberry Farm 송촌호반농장

One of the main highlights of my trip was to visit a strawberry farm. I have researched a few strawberry farms but most of them does not include strawberry jam making. I wanted one that include the jam making + plucking session 🙂 Just when I managed to find Song Chon Strawberry Farm (송촌호반농장), one that needs all the verification in korean and upfront payment first. So, I gotta some help from my guesthouse (Chocolate Tree) owner! 🙂 So, with everything prepared, I just can’t wait for the day to arrive 🙂

  • Hello! im interested to visit the stawberry farm with my son this coming dec. can you provide further details on directions to get there. we cant speak korean so it is easy to get around the area and for cab etc?

    thank you ! 🙂

    • Hi Hytie,

I have wrote the direction in the entry on how to get there. You may print the address in korean, and pass to the cab driver when you board one. There wasnt alot of cab driver there, so be earlier is better. As for this strawberry farm, please make reservation because they are usually full. I changed a bit of my itinerary to fit in the date! 🙂

  • Hi, can I check how long you spent in the farm? We are planning to do strawberries picking and jam making but not sure how much time we should plan in our itinerary…

  • Hihi
Planning to visit this strawberry farm. Maybe know how to book..cos all in Korean. What about the cost of picking strawberry n jam making?
As for the dreamy camera cafe, how do you go about taking transport as it seems pretty rural.

    Thanks for your time.

    Frances

    • Hi Frances,

I actually asked my guesthouse owner to book on my behalf. You may asked your guesthouse owner/hotel receptionist to do so. Koreans are really helpful and will do all for you. So far, I cant find a place that can accommodate both picking and jam making except for Songchon, hence, I troubled my guesthouse owner to help me make reservation 🙂

It cost 10,000won for the picking of strawberry and 7,000won for the jam making! 🙂 I did both of it! 🙂

For dreamy cafe, its pretty rural. And I you can read more on the direction here – https://hellosihui.com/2015/05/10/dreamy-camera-cafe/

Basically, I travelled to Yongmun Station and took a cab over. Just show the cab this wording “중원리 꿈꾸는 사진기” they will know where to go! 🙂
It cost about 11,000won for the cab fare! 🙂

      Enjoy yourself 🙂

      • Thank you Sihui ?. I am here with my family. And will be visiting the farm tomorrow. The guesthouse did assist to book, buy with a charge ?
Hope everything goes well tml ✌✌

  • thanks so much for giving such a detailed and clear description of your trip. Ive enjoyed reading your blog.
Just to confirm. Why did you go to Yogmun Station to take a cab, instead of Ungilsan Station. Are there more cabs at Yogmun which is 8 stations away. From the pics, the stations seem very isolated . Also what is the travelling time to the farm like by subway/ rail then taxi. I intend to visit the farm early in the morning and try to be on time. I’ll be there in early Apr.

    • Hi Wendy, Thank you for the kind words 🙂

I didnt take cab from Yongmun, I took cab from Ungilsan. The farm is very near to this station. If take from Yongmun will be alot further as compare. Return trip, I actually took a bus back instead 🙂 I remember its not more 15minutes ride.

I stayed at Sinchon that time. Via train to Ungilsan station is about 1hour 15mins. And the cab takes no longer than 15mins. but to play safe, reach earlier. The cab is really little 🙂

Im sure you will enjoyed your stay there. Remember to make booking for the farm first! 🙂
