New Zealand Travelogue 2017

If you have follow closely, I have finally (oh yes!) finished this 20 days of travelogue for New Zealand. Honestly, it’s pretty time consuming since I have to go through all the photos and worst, my poor memories to recap all in details. I’m glad I did it, because when I miss going holiday, I can read back and remember all the good old days 😂

Since wordpress love to post the latest entry first according to date, and it will be quite difficult to go through and finding all the entry from the first post (if you are using mobile, the scrolling can be quite tiring haha 😝) So this post will be really helpful for navigation to whoever is heading soon.

Note, this is based on October 2017 – November 2017 Traveling. 💕

[#fly2NZ] New Zealand Day 8

Leaving New Plymouth for a really long journey to Wellington. We decided to have a really simple stopover at Wellington just for our ferry over to the South Island. This journey took us 5hours, probably the longest for the past 8 days.

First thing in the morning: Breakfast! :)

Because its gonna be a super long ride, we need a full tank this round.

 photo 20171024_134509-01 copy_zps3ywewgx4.jpg
After 2.5 hours of car ride, we need toilet, we need food, and we were here for a short break. It’s such a pretty cafe in this small town – Foxton.

Shopping District + Dinner

 photo 20171024_184129-01 copy_zpsc6fmockq.jpg

Wellington remind me alot of Melbourne, a shopping district. I bought my first purchase in New Zealand – Pandora. I got my NZ exclusive charm. I have made a point to buy a exclusive charm every trip to keep this travel bracelet very very memorable :)

 photo IMG_0606 copy_zpswkuvqofy.jpg
When I was checking the places to eat in Wellington, there’s plenty… so much but we only have 1 meal for today… For photo worthy, I decided to be crab shack because its in Tiffany colour haha.

photo IMG_0648 copy_zps9mqddxmj.jpgWe booked the airbnb with a label as The Castle (in Lower Hutt), to find out its designed by a well-known New Zealand architect Ian Athfield. The rooms have great view of Wellington Harbour. During our ride over, we will be having a great view of the beach for the entire ride from Wellington. Such breath-taking :)

P.S. Ian Athfield is really famous with his work especially – Wellington Central Library, Jade Stadium in Christchurch, and even Bangkok rapid transport system.

[#fly2NZ] New Zealand Day 7

Waking up a little late because it’s a wet morning. The rain just get heavier and heavier so we slowly had our breakfast made by me. I can’t do much, but scramble egg with salmon is all I can do :) Yet the rain got even heavier even after our breakfast, so we decided to wait a little more while watching tv and arranging our laundry….

 photo IMG_0583 copy_zpso4azbsis.jpg
Our yummy breakfast. Scrambled egg with prawn (yummy really, should i do it this friday?)

Mount Taranaki
They said, if we are lucky, we will get to see the snowy top of Mount Taranaki, but due to the rain this morning, I guessed, we might not be that lucky this time.

 photo 20171023_135836-01 copy_zpspx37i3rm.jpg
here are are at Mount Taranaki, but we didn’t hike it because the route was “closed” maybe because its slippery and dangerous due to the rain in the morning.

So we headed to Dawson Fall instead.
At this visitor centre, such a good view of Mount Taranaki ;)

So, here’s 1 photo with Dawson Falls, its quite a small one to be honest :p

[#fly2NZ] New Zealand Day 5

Our simple day started with traveling from Rotorua to Taupo. Having 5 hours before check-in our next accommodation we had really plenty of time to explore along the way. We decided to head over to the Huka Fall first and eat later. Beautiful scenery will spice up our taste bud haha. According to some of my friend, Huka Fall is one of the filming destination of LOTR, I guessed fans shouldnt miss it. The clarity of the tiffany blue water is really amazing. So pretty!
