This has always been a hot topic — where to eat in Singapore? Technically, it’s not that hard to find food here… but the real question is: where can we find something good and cheap? 🥲
That’s when we started thinking… if only we were in Korea. It just feels so easy to find food that makes us happy there. Honestly, we’re so easily satisfied — even a bowl of instant ramyeon from CU can make us smile! (I finally tried the one Cin and Carol recommended… and wow, it really is good! 😂)
This brought back memories of a little spot we found that served super flavourful ramyeon — we still remember how tasty the soup was! We were at Gwanghwamun to settle our 1-month prepaid data SIM card (yesyesyes, travel must-have!), and decided to look for brunch nearby. So glad we explored a bit, walked around, and ended up discovering this cozy little restaurant for our meal of the day. 😊
It was only later, when I started researching about the place online, that I found out… it’s actually been around for over 30 years in Korea, with multiple outlets nationwide! We had no idea it was a franchise — it totally gave off the vibe of a humble, hidden gem. 😅

#saw JYP signature among the siggy wall of fame 🙂
#and we started to take photo right in front of the mirror! HAHA!

#a very small shop, but very interesting deco.
#not sure if you realize this? I tot it was very very interesting to have the instant mee pack here.

And just while all the photo bombing around, our food are all ready to be EATEN haha 🙂 Though the noodle could be just ramyeon (and some called it instant mee), I think Teumsae made an extra effort to cook the noodle with very QQ feel when eaten. The soup was made with love, because it so tasty that we can’t stop drinking, and we finished almost all of it. 🙂

DIRECTION to the Gwanghwamun outlet
Gwanghwamun Station Exit 7, walk into Saemunan-ro 9-gil for about 5 mins. Teumsae will be on your left!
