Kiddy Day at Everland

Everland is located in Yongin, a city in Gyeonggi-do province. In another words, it is OUT OF SEOUL, and it takes quite a while to travel to and out of it. So, be prepared that you will just takes up a day in Everland. Plan it a day, you will feel managable with the time!

On 23 February 2012, 6th Day in Korea. (7th Day for the trip!)

We woke up not so early, probably by 10am we were about to leave the guest house and head for our 1 day fun as Kids again. (it’s about 11am in Singapore, so late already?) We grabbed our breakfast from 김밥천국 and Paris Baguette in the fastest speed ever and meet each other at Myeongdong Station.

Take a train to Gangnam, Line 2 – Green. It is quite a distance from Myeongdong station, app 45mins? But the good thing is that, you can have your breakfast in train! And it is really amazing that the train is still so clean even you allowed your citizen and tourists all around the world to eat in the train… even Ice Cream!

Alighting at Gangnam is just first part of the journey! Exit 10, and walked straight till you saw a shop – WHOAU. Right in front of WHOAU is the bus stop that you have to wait for 5002. How fun is that, you gonna take BUS there! I think, and I love to experience how different country transport is. COOL leh 😛

I have my sweet & drink with me, just in case I can’t take it. I have quite bad motion sickness, but pretty good in enduring. Which I guessed the reason why I hardly vomit. (when I’m back, I have pretty bad motion sickness even sitting in front of my friend’s car… which hardly happen… *play with fingers*)

/// not so delicious 😡

It takes about 40-50mins to reach the Public Bus Terminal, not exactly terminal because the bus doesn’t physically stop there, they continued their journey to …. (i have no idea lol). If you are worried, just informed the bus driver and sit near him 🙂

There will be free shuttle bus from the terminal that bring you directly in to Everland! I mean, can you hear our excitement? 🙂 There’s lots of couples and not forgetting tourists during the trip… Guess it is a good place to go for a short getaway during weekend 🙂

Thanks to Violet (unnies’ friend), we got our tickets at a good rates! 🙂 Right before getting our tickets, seriously, we spent quite sometime taking photos just outside Everland. LOL. We have like 5 of us and at least 1 solo photo each! LOL! How crazy, how fun! Seriously, I’m so glad that I tagged along! 🙂

Being the first timer, we did this… LOL….!

A picture tells you a thousand words, I’m sure as you see more than 10 thousands words after this…. :/ So little words from now on, and see how fun we were during our trip to Everland! 🙂 We had really fun day! It’s tiring yet fun 😀

We had lots of fun, and fall asleep thru out the bus ride back home. Poor Jimei and Joanne didn’t get a seat and stand throughout the journey. But thanks to them, Miyo, Rina and me have a good rest back… 🙂

Back to Gangnam, we decided to go for Andong Chicken. I shall blog about it soon 🙂

I was still pondering about going or not going to Everland. The reason is simple because I really doesn’t want to be a burden to the girls if I’m going. I definitely not playing those Rollar-Coaster games, I can’t take it though… I felt sick with the high speed, even taking those simulator rides I felt vomiting….! But, I’m really worried that because of me, they are not playing as much as they could….! With much worries, I still go ahead….. because, we planned together and wanting to go together! I just want to have fun and experience different theme park! I hope you girls really enjoyed yourself with the rides. I felt really sorry that you girls only took 1 ride in the end…. 🙁

    • i think they have certain timing for this. the mascot parade was a short a mini one. probably a 20mins :/ hee. But i didn’t see the other parade i saw on other blog 🙁

  • Hi, i happened to chance upon your blog while looking for directions to everland. I was just wondering, a lot of people say to exit via exit 6 of gangnam station then walk to a bus stop in front of krispy kreme in the middle of the road to wait for #5002. why is yours exit 10? i’m very curious because the bus looks incredibly empty! and the other time when i went, i had to stand in the jam-packed bus for the whole journey which was really tiring!

    • Gangnam underground went on construction, and their exit actually changes since late last year 🙂

I guessed it was exit 6 before the construction and changes to 10 now 🙂

Yes! It is very empty when we head over, but it was packed like sandwich when we were back from there. But not sure was it the timing we went, we only left myeongdong around 10am. Pretty late, and its not office hours too 😀

  • thank you thank you for the pics and info- we were worried about going to everland from gangnam and i got many confusing posts – exit 6 or exit 10 and none of the travel forums were helpful. i’ve been searching for this information since two weeks ago !!!! glad i stumbled on this site and our flight is tomorrow ! i guess it’s the same going back everland —>shuttle —-> bus stop 5002 (your picture before winter wonderland poster)

    • Hi! I hope, you will still able to read my reply to you before you fly off to the lovely kimchi land! 🙂

Glad you found your answer here! And yes, going back will be the same as well! 🙂 If you haven’t plan your dinner on the ‘Everland’ Day, I hope you can try Annyeong Chicken (singer’s Se7en shop)! I love it, and think it is one of the best annyeong chicken I tried in Korea! 🙂

And, I think when you visited Everland this coming trip, you probably able to see pretty flowers there. Its like a mini Botanic Garden 🙂 I went there during winter, hence, I wasn’t able to see it.

If you watched King2Heart by Lee Seung Gi and Ha Ji Won, their engagement is hosted in Everland! 🙂

Have fun, and a very very lovely trip! 🙂

Hope to hear from you and your experience in Seoul soon! 🙂
