KOREA 2024: It’s Salmon 연어롭다
[Travel in March 2024]
Just arrived from Jeju, checked into our hotel, and then headed to Myeongdong to grab our barangs. My cousin and I probably enjoyed Olive Young a little too much—we somehow ended up buying something every time we dropped by!
For dinner, we split up to do our own thing. I originally planned to visit my usual salmon spot, 신촌 연어상회, but I was too late for the buffet. So instead, I went to another place on my list.
Pardon the low-quality photos—I took them with my phone since I thought I’d be going to my usual spot and didn’t bother bringing any cameras (or my GoPro). Lesson learned!

The restaurant is located at basement, so its not really a place where you will notice or take a second look.

Its like a small japanese bar, where people hang out after work etc.

we are here pretty late around 9 plus. lucky they still allows us in! 🙂

the vibe!

Here’s the menu! It’s all in Korean, so you might need Google Lens or a translation app to help decipher it.

Sauces given to us! 🙂

Wah, I don’t know how to explain this, but I really love my salmon! Right now, we’ve got a few types to enjoy—Salmon Sushi, Salmon Sashimi, Salmon Belly Sashimi, and Salmon Aburi. SO SHIOK!

Salmon Don, which looks really good also! Thats a very cute quail egg too! 🙂

🙂

I got my seafood cream pasta! Korea does pasta so well, so please, please—if you’re not a fan of Korean food, at least give their pasta a try! So far, it has never disappointed me.

Our orders really shiok haha! 🙂

HELLOSIHUI’S THOUGHTS:
Not too sure about the crowd since I came really late, after 9 PM. But it was a nice, quiet experience for me! I don’t mind coming back again, but the price is a little steep. Good experience is more important for me!
HELLOSIHUI’S TIPS:
Everything I ordered was amazing! 🤤Not sure about the rest of the menu, but these were on my must-try list based on my research. The salmon was especially great—super thick and absolutely delicious!
