Tongyeong Day 2 – Somaemuldo

[Travel in March/April 2019]

(Continue from the last post) After slightly more than 1 hour, we arrived Somaemuldo…

Oh remember good comfortable shoes!

Check out the map, we will hike over, and wait for the low tide (you must be wondering?) and cross the stone path to the lighthouse! 🙂

There’s this very nice korean who share how we shld walk, and through out the hike, he had been really helpful to us, and many others!
Remind us, guide us – I have shared before and I really think Koreans really nice!

I know it’s not very obvious, but there’s a stone path there, but because of the high tide, you can’t see a full stone path 🙂

There’s another korean whom so nice, that told us that we had to wait for another 1 hours for the tide to go lower. If our ferry is at 12, we will not able to make it, and it’s time to head back to the ferry terminal. Many of them headed back, but we proceed! 🙂 YAY!

Hello,

I will be visiting Maemuldo soon and am wondering if you could tell me about accomodation on the island. Were there any pensions? Was it even worth it or would you recommend another island? thanks!

  I didn’t stay at any pensions during my trip to Maemuldo 🙂 I stayed at Tongyeong and did a day trip out to Maemuldo 🙂 I do see pension around, but I guess, you might need to check this website – http://www.tongyeong.go.kr/eng.web or [email protected] they might able to assist you better in term of making reservations and booking. I do love Geoje too, which I went twice! Its beautiful! 🙂
